We all know that through time, we will never be the same. who I am last year was not who I am this year. maybe I change the way I wear my hijab, or maybe I change my personality, maybe you change your hair style, whatever it is, we will never be the same person throughout our entire life.
the biggest change is when we decide to change what we think. what we see, sometimes can be very deceiving. what we hear, sometimes can be a slander. however, the cryptic approach that the ears and the eyes laid upon, can be revert to what is actually true and truth. lets say, if I wanted to pour my heart out on this blog, I would have thousand of complains that I would like to share, from how my hair look right after I woke up until how long my nail had grown before I take my goodnight sleep and everything in between. I think we all can agree that no matter how much we change, we can never get away from problems.
to make myself feel better and hopefully all of us out there, I like to point an analogy to define problem in a non-problematic way. all of our crap and shinitz and bull-dozer waste are like green tea. admit it people, not all of you love green tea (some even consider putting sugar in it?! what? seriously?).
I, personally, love green tea. not because it taste like chocolate, but I know, at the end of the day, it will benefit me in one way or another. green tea does not taste like plain water, plain water is enjoyment. when you are so damn thirsty, you search for cold plain water not green tea. green tea is something that is bitter at the beginning, and you need few weeks for your receptor to actually get use to the taste. day after day, your tongue will learn to eventually accept the taste, but the bitterness will still be there. well ladies and gentlemen, that is more or less of how I define problem.
problem might come in handy for us. at the first stage of encountering problem(s) I am very sure that we all wanted to run away or bury our head in sand because we look at problem(s) as burden more than a blessing. lets not be a hypocrite here, even at this age, I sometimes count problem(s) as hard rock which fall down out of no where pleasantly to crash me like a pepsi can. then again, because of how sick I felt on the fact that problems won't make a better world if I keep on grieving about it, I start to trained my brain to see the positive outcomes from every problem.
some might said, "easy said then done la" or "igt semua orang ke boleh jadi positif?" or "being positive is not something you can force on la qis". oh well, oh well my fellow earthlings, just in case if you didn't notice, I am a human exactly like you and I was once a negative believer and now I am able to see things differently because I choose to do so. I am not saying that we are not allowed to be negative at all. we need to have doubts but the way how we see things need to be improvise.I believe, in this world, if you want changes, you will do what it takes to change it. sometimes, desperation force us to change (hopefully into a better person). but the point is, if we want, it will happen.
I started to expand my horizon out of what the community of the world had imposed in the media. the cruelty, the sadness, the destruction, the fallen and from all those events that turn the world upside down. if the world is bearing this much burden, how can I let myself do the same. if the whole world throw rubbish on the floor, and you suddenly decide to pick up the rubbish and throw it into the dustbin, don't you think there will be at least ONE person who will look at you he will do the exact same act like you did. kan ke tak kan? and this is called the act of chain. one act will be copied by another and soon enough, everyone will start doing it.
hence, i like to quote the words from my Semantics lecturer's daughter, "if you don't try, you will never know" and there is this one Malay proverb that goes with it "tak kenal maka tak cinta". stop giving excuses and start training yourself to be positive in what you see, what you hear and especially in what you think. it will change your life a lot. if problem(s) arrive like a hard rock, tell yourself that the freaking hard rock is a freaking diamond. it needs to be polish and soon it will shine!
till then, xoxo, tick tack toe!
